Located in downtown Kitchener, The Kitchener-Waterloo Racquet Club was founded in 1962 by R.G.R (Barney) Lawrence and 12 Friends of squash. To this day, KWRC thrives as a member owned, gentlemen only, squash club that focuses on competitive squash at all levels in a unique and welcoming environment. The club’s facility at 138 Duke St. E. Kitchener, Ontario was originally a family home giving our main entrance and lounge area an amazing warmth and charm. KWRC now features two International Singles Courts, one North American Singles Court and one of the finest North American Doubles Courts in the world. In addition, we have a well equipped fitness center, sauna, and comfortable lounge space with a fully licensed and lively bar. The club is active throughout the year with member ladders, house leagues, club tournaments, city league matches, exhibitions, instructional clinics and social events. KWRC is a not-for-profit organization and is run by a volunteer board of directors, all of whom are members. Our membership appeals to all age groups and all levels of play. KWRC members are passionate about the game of squash, fair and competitive play and enjoy a most unique camaraderie.
